  • Changes
    • Re-wrote a lot of code so the game will still run without an internet connection. Perks promised to Patreon supporters, beta features, and connection to the mobile companion app still require a connection at startup only (this will never change as it is part of a promise made to long-time supporters).
    • Based on supporter feedback, all notices related to having an internet connection and any nag screens as a result of running the game without a Patreon activation have been removed.
  • Bugs fixed
    • Fixed broken code which made it so enemies with a 3+ temper wouldn’t attack Kronos unless their task was to attack. Now, characters who don’t run from Kronos when attacked will fight back.
    • Fixed bug where killing Hydna in 1669 would not remove her from 1668.
    • Streamlined some code so the game runs a little faster with fewer resources.
  • Known Issues
    • Sometimes when starting a new timeline in Salem 1669 the Kronos player token will stay gray and players will be unable to move again. Restart the timeline once or twice until you can move freely again. This will be patched in a hotfix update on June 22nd.
    • Battle map locations do not currently change based on the tile in which players encounter an enemy.

Version 0.853 Release (New Font!) POLL RESULTS!

Thank you to everyone who voted for the new font! It was also my personal favorite, and it makes the game much easier to read! I didn’t like how the old font sometimes made words look like they weren’t capitalized and some of the numbers looked weird. Anyway, here’s a quick update with the fresh font and a bit of new content! And thank you for being a valued supporter!

  • New features
    • Level 2+ Perk: The Blue Fairy can be consumed when LifeForce has reached 0. This replaces the Green Fairy as the Level 2+ perk. Level 2+ players can have both the green fairy and the blue fairy.
    • Level 3+ Perk: The Red Fairy can be consumed when LifeForce has reached 0. This replaces the Green Fairy as the Level 3+ perk. Level 3+ players can have the green fairy, blue fairy and the red fairy!
    • Temperament system will change the way other characters react to you based on their fear or hatred of you. For example, Hydna will run from you and you won’t be able to purchase items from her if you attack her.
  • Changes
    • The Green Fairy (formerly the Pendant of Panacea) is now an item which can be purchased from Hydna. Level 2/3+ supporters now have access to one or two new fairies.
    • Encountering a wolf on the global map now starts a battle on the strategic map instead of the old text battle.
      • Players will face either 1, 2, or 3 wolves at a time.
    • Time Selection screen now allows players to hold down the LEFT OR RIGHT to cycle through the time periods and upon reaching the end it will automatically cycle back to the beginning, or vice-versa.
    • Added loot to the strategic battle map enemies. Prior to this it was almost impossible to get ENERGY and CURRENCY. Oops!
    • Max LifeForce changed to 40, in order to align better with changes to enemy attack strength.
  • Bugs fixed
    • Hovering over the Energy/LifeForce/Currency bars, certain other buttons, will display the pop-up info box correctly now.
    • Fixed screen not resizing when switching back from full screen mode.
    • Fixed weird bug where a giant image of Zoe was appearing to the far right of the shack map.

  • New content

      • Greek village can now be explored as a strategic map rather than a single static image.
      • Some new minor NPC characters.
  • New features
    • On the strategic map, holding down the RIGHT mouse button for about a second (or double RIGHT clicking) will allow players to WAIT (end turn). If player continues to hold the RIGHT mouse button down, the game will continually WAIT until the button is released, allowing enemies and NPCs to take their turns repeatedly.
  • Changes
    • (Major) Greek village converted to full strategic map and Zoe options now expanded to include some of the new game features like NPC following and triggers.
    • Increased attack speed for enemies (was painfully slow before).
    • Movement space icons are now easier to read on both light and dark backgrounds.
    • Full-screen scenes now load zoomed out, to avoid confusion for players who are unfamiliar with the zooming feature.
    • Added some additional movement algorithms to deal with destination spaces being blocked or player being trapped by friendly NPCs.
    • Reduced ktt.exe file size even more, which will make updates a bit faster.
  • Bugs fixed
    • Killing the thief (woman in black) and her accompanying wolves would not remove her from the world map. Now it does.
    • If a companion is following Kronos, she will now back up if she traps Kronos in a corner, rather than locking the game.
    • Red box highlights for NPCs were staying visible when it wasn’t the player’s turn.
    • Players were able to click on NPCs even when not standing next to them.
    • Talking to the wolf in some locations would cause an error.
    • Leaving a strategic map with active enemies will no longer reset their positions when re-entering the map.
